catch up on past 2 months!

Well it has been quite a while since I have posted….

The past few months have been very bussy, chaotic, productive, very creative and a fairly big whirlwind. Since exhibiting in Sydney I have started a business partnership with a friend of mine Katherine Wheeler called Golden Ink Collaborative. We have both been trying to get the label up and running whilst I have been working full time at Irwin & McLaren bookbindery and Katherine’s crazy schedule of being a mum of two!

Golden Ink Collaborative is a mixture of Kate’s gold and silversmithing background and my printmaking background. The label atm consists of a home wares line and a jewellery line. Together we create exciting one-off pieces made from hand painted porcelain and silver with subtle detail and tactility. By fusing together our areas of expertise between the maker (Katherine) and the mark maker (me!) a beautiful unity is created within the collection. The jewellery range has a soft feel on the wearer and the illustrations on each piece play around ideas to do with formations and adorned profiles.

Here area few pics of our business cards in the making. Designed and debossed by me and offset printed by work friend James at Taylored Press

(excuse the terrible image quality as it was taken on my i-phone late at night!)

Here is some type cataloguing I have been doing at work. I realised there was too many beautiful tfonts hidden away at wok that nobody knew about, so Andrew and I decided that we need to catalogue them and and let all of our customers know about them. This is still an on going project.

over 50 handset and ludlow fonts have been catalogued.
